Don’t do anything.
It’ll just make it obvious to him.
If someone said that to me, I’d instantly feel bad, and fat and god, I’d be on that track.
Sometimes people don’t eat lunch.
Lots of people think their fat.
Leave the poor kid alone, if he has a problem it may become apperant. Trying to help him will do nothing for him if he himself doesnt want to change.
Tell him that he wont loose weight if he does not eat…it makes you fatter.
Even if he is not fat..tell him that if he DONT eat he will become fat.
May be anorexia nervosa.
I have anorexia nervosa I see myself as fat all the time too and I keep fasting..sometimes I’ll go 40 days without eating…so his patterns are very similar to mine. The best thing for you to do is to just be there for him and try to understand the eating disorder. Anorexia nervosa is a horrible psychological disorder that people cannot generally fix. It has to be on the person’s own free will. I know this because I have walked out of therapy many times and people couldn’t do anything so my mom told my therapist just to leave me alone for a while. So just be there for him and don’t try to force him to get help. This can make things worse. But you can tell him that he should seek help because his view of himself is not true and so forth.
And do not tell him he will become fatter if he doesn’t eat. That is very ignorant to think that. When someone just stops eating meaning all food is absent the body begins to eat itself.
In the end, a lot of the times it is the person who has the condition that needs to figure out things on their own just as I am doing right now.
Just try to be grown up about it as possible and sensitive to his needs. Be his support and understand him. My mom never understood my condition and it made me worse.
Pray for him as well.
He is worthy to live.
An eating disorder is to eat, or avoid eating, which negatively affects both one’s physical and mental health. Eating disorders are all encompassing. They affect every part of the person’s life. According to the authors of Surviving an Eating Disorder, "feelings about work, school, relationships, day-to-day activities and one’s experience of emotional well being are determined by what has or has not been eaten or by a number on a scale."Anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are the most common eating disorders generally recognized by medical classification schemes, with a significant diagnostic overlap between the two.Together, they affect an estimated 5-7% of females in the United States during their lifetimes.
