What is the difference between anxiety and depression?
My fiance has really changed in the last few months, he has admitted to suffering from anxiety (which he refuses to get help for) but I cant help but feel its alot deeper than that. He is constantly down, gets extremely angry about the smallest things, has no motivation to do anything, has very little patience with our kids, doesnt help out with anything anymore….. The list goes on.
How do I know the difference and what signs to look out for? Also how do I get him to see how important it is for him to seek help/advice???

You’ll really need to work with him if you feel he needs help. No matter what you tell him, he must feel that he has problems that need help. If he is unwilling to seek therapy, you can try to get him a book that fits his style. Try instituting a time during the week where you can both relax and talk.
The overarching point is that he needs to be willing to work at this. That’s a difficult prospect for anyone who works and has children, and he probably needs some way to healthily relieve his stress.
