What is the difference between a unipolar and bipolar output from an amplifier?
Does a unipolar just have one bump per period and a bipolar has two bumps? What would be the purpose of that?

unipolar (one polarity) means the output is positive only. It cannot swing negative.
bipolar means the output can swing both positive and negative.
