It’s not possible to state the likely outcome without seeing the whole picture. If you were being arrested for a serious offence and this went to trial and you were convicted, then the sentence for that offence might be so serious that no sentence of any significance would be passed for assault with intent to resist apprehension. In theory you can be sent to prison for up to six months (magistrates’ court) or 2 years (Crown Court), given a Community sentence or fined. In practice, your sentence will be in proportion to the sentence which you are given for the main offence. A lot will depend too on whether or not the police officer was injured in the struggle, although there is a separate offence of assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty, so that is probably unlikely.

damn ur a bad ass. well it doesnt matter how old u r if ur over 18. the police were happy i was only 18 4 a month so they tried 2 give me a felony 4 fun. but assault is less than 1 year if u sent the person 2 the hospital thats a felony and u will go 2 prison instead of jail. resisting apprehension is basically resisting arrest which just makes the whole thing even worse. im assuming u assaulted a police officer while trying 2 arrest u so they will try 2 give u the maximum. if its not ur 1st offense and ur were resisting cuz u have a warrant or sumthing ur looking at a couple years in prison not jail.
