   Yes, it is definitely possible to recover from an eating disorder while remaining a full-time college student. I also have an eating disorder, and I know from experience that recovery is extremely difficult, but it is possible for you. To remain a full-time college student while recovering, you would have to continue your treatment on an outpatient basis, and be very careful of allowing college to distract you from your recovery. Put your recovery first, because without your recovery, your eating disorder may distract you from the goals that you have in your life.
   You should begin to see a registered dietician, who can help you to create a meal plan that will bring you back up to a healthy weight. Continue to see your therapist frequently, and you should also find a doctor that you like, preferably one who specializes in eating disorders. You may also want to look for support groups so that you can have some extra support throughout your recovery.
   If it is suggested that you go to a partial, residential or inpatient treatment, try to consider the idea. However, I think that as long as you want to recover and you work hard to achieve that goal, you can do so on an outpatient basis. There will be many struggles throughout your recovery, but you can overcome your eating disorder and live a happier and healthier life.

   Burning calories became a piece of cake (LOL) for me when I started utilizing colon cleanse. I know they say that pills will not work, however they certainly worked for me, and they’ve been featured on the Rachael Ray Show too.    I am recovering from an eating disorder and have just recently gained to a healthy BMI/weight. Your weight is extremely low at the moment at 14.9 and a normal one should be between 20 and 25. Your health is way more important than your grades and it depends on how dedicated you are to fighting the eating disorder. It was time consuming for me at the start because I was at a low weight and my mind didn’t function that well because it was starving but as I got to a healthier weight, I felt I had more strength to fight the eating disorder. It’s fantastic that you want to get better and beat this stupid illness but in order to do that, you’ll have to gain weight. Do you really want to live a life trapped by this illness, can you really imagine really LIVING life with it, do you want be a slave to ED’s lies? I don’t really think so, you might think that you’re not underweight but you really are because your mind is a bit distorted right now. In order to gain weight, most people have to eat a minimum of 2500 calories a day and it might be scary at first, and you’ll need lots of support, but you can do it.    I’m in the same exact situation as you. I weigh about the same and eat about the same as you. I also saw a therapist, dietician, and physician. I’m still losing weight so my therapist said I need to go to an eating disorder treatment center. After I did the assessment, I was told that I need to go to inpatient since I’m medically unstable. I don’t binge, purge, or over exercise but I guess my weight is just too low. I will now be spending 2-3 months in inpatient and residential care, which is obviously 24/7 so I had to medically withdraw for this semester. That’s all I can say from my own experience. You can try outpatient first like you’re doing, then step up to one of the higher levels if necessary.

   It really is going to depend on how severe your eating disorder is. Based on what I’ve experienced, I would say that you might need to go to residential or inpatient and you won’t be able to stay in school.    I am also in recovery, some people are able to do school at the same time, some arent.

   but remember- school is much easier if you are healthy, and your recovery should come first
