If i just ate 1 meal a day is that a eating disorder?
I have become obsseded with losing weight and now i struggle to eat just 1 meal a day. If i get hungry i chew on snacks then spit them out. I do go running and i have lost 2 1/2 stone in under 3 months and it can’t be an eating disorder can it?

I think you know the answer to that one. Yes. It is.
Also, eating only one meal a day is worse for your body and weight loss than eating three to five small balanced meals. It sends your blood sugar and insulin levels all over the place, slows down your metabolism, and as soon as you start eating normally you’re going to gain weight.
You need to speak with your doctor before you stop eating completely.
Starvation will send you into organ failure eventually. There are ways to eat, stay full, yet lose weight.
This is not a healthy habit. Eating one meal a day can eventually turn into a eating disorder.
Of course it’s an eating disorder, spitting food out and losing all that weight.
Even if you were eating a big meal once a day, that is bad for your blood sugar, makes it spike, instead of smaller meals spaced evenly throughout the day.
That’s a lot of weight, but you don’t say what you started at. Anyway, it definitely sounds like an eating disorder, or at the least the beginning of one. I think that recognizing that you have a problem shows that you don’t yet have an eating disorder, but it sounds like you’re on the road to developing one, as these habits are not healthy and are characteristic of eating disorders. You should talk to your doctor about this. Be very candid with him and don’t keep any secrets from him. He will know best how to help you and will be able to determine what problems you are facing and what treatment you might need.
Forget the acai berries unless you want to waste you money. I tried them, they’re worthless. I have a blog on my profile on my weight-loss. I did it without having to buy anything either & I wrote it hoping that it will help someone. I know only to well how much it sucks being fat, please go through it. It’s just free info.
But, if you don’t, I’ll give you some sure fire ways of loosing weight here.
1. Stop eating bread (or at least limit it to two slices per week).
2. Eat all the snacks you want, just make it fresh fruit.
3. Keep your body hydrated with at least a liter of water every morning.

Only you know the answer to that however by what you have said it sounds like you do. If you are worried about this then seek out help from places like the eating disorder association.
