How likely is it that my bipolar bf will be there for support?
He has bipolar 1 (for years and on meds). I know that I will have to be there for him the majority of the time. No problem. But are they good at supporting you in a crisis, if you need them? I need someone that is willing to be there for me also.

here’s the thing. he’s on medicine you said. i know a bi-polar girl who isn’t on medicine and would make a great girlfriend to a guy. she’s always there for her significant other. she’s a great friend. yes, there are moods…but they pass. some people can deal with it very well. if he’s on medicine, it wouldn’t be the bi-polar if he wasn’t there for you. i think you should be fine.
but it’s a good question to ask.
