How do you get rid of panic attacks, which seem out of your control?
I have tried cognitive behavioural therapy, for panic attacks, in the past, and I used to be able to stop them, with my thoughts. Now, I find that they are beyond my control, and sometimes cannot be stopped. They also wake me up, in the middle of the night. How should I deal with this?

Start with your family doctor.
Panic attacks can also be physiological. You should have a thorough blood panel done checking thyroid activity. If you’re waking-up with these symptoms, it’s unlikely that it’s anxiety.
Panic attacks require you to be awake pretty much. I agree with the other answerer who said a doctor is in order. My daughter also has panic attacks but not when she is sleeping.
Her doctor gave her some medicine that helped but I am sorry I forgot the name.
