First you need to realize that the world will go on, it will keep getting tougher, there will keep being obstacles in the way of achieving your goal, and there will always be people that will try and set you back. You may say that you give up a million times over again…but the fact that you are still here, talking about it, trying to get help, shows that you did not really give up. You are still holding on.
You have been holding on to the faith you have inside you…whether you can see it or not. You need to hold on to the good times you had with your family and friends, and even with yourself. You must hold onto the proud memories you have of yourself, even if there’s only a few. You have to hold onto those people that care so deeply about you, whether they know how to show it or not.
You need to hold onto hope for a new day, a new beginning, a new start, a new tomorrow, a new you! You must hold on to every person that said you can do it, keep going, your strong enough.
Fight for the good memories, the faith, your life, your happiness, your family, your friends, and yourself. Never give up. You are strong enough to reach out for help when you know you need it, and you are strong enough to recover from this. You have to want to get better, which I think you do want to do. So keep believing and never give up.
read the book "she’s come undone". its not a slefhelp book, its a novel about obesity and overcoming addiction to food.
it is also helpful if you undereat, because the mentality of an eating disorder is the same.
hope this is helpful
Try to find the source of your problem, that’s essential to succeed against it and its manifestations.
Stress usually manifests itself in anxiety and/or depression. Anxiety manifests itself in many different ways, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Anorexia. Depression manifests itself in one way – the person does not get any enjoyment out of life. If left untreated, depression can be fatal.
In addition to causing mental problems, stress can also cause physical problems. It is linked to heart disease and is considered to be one of the primary causes of high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke. People who are under a great deal of stress often get sick with colds or flu. Stress is said to actually harm our immune system. There are some indications that stress can also be a contributory cause of certain cancers.
Although we cannot always control stressors in our life, we can learn how to effectively deal with stress so that it does not end up causing us either psychological or physical damage. We are all going to have to deal with stress in our lives so it is better to know how to react to stress in a positive way so that we can control our behavior and not allow stress to become a health threat.
