How can I maintain my weight and recover from an eating disorder at the same time?
I am trying to recover from an eating disorder, but I really don’t want to gain any weight. Will it work if I start with 600 calories a day for two weeks, then 800 for two weeks, then 1000, then 1200, then 1500? Is that too unhealthy? Are there any other methods for maintaining during recovery?

when i was recovering from my eating disorder but also trying to maintain my weight, i ate only when i was hungry….. most days i would eat a yo crunch yogurt 4 breakfast, a special K meal bar 4 lunch, and probably whatever my mom made 4 dinner
then i also did as many crunches as possible, it reely works…. its been 4 months, i am over my eating disorder and have maintained my weight
now i eat pretty much whatever i want and do LOTS of crunches and i feel great and havent gained an ounce
If you had an eating disorder, you are most likely underweight.
But slowly increasing the calories you consume is a good idea, because it will slowly increase your metabolism, also — allowing you to actually eat the food, gaining minimal weight.
However, you will gain at least 3 pounds, guaranteed. And please remember, the more underweight you are, the more you will gain when recovering. This is a good thing, and your body’s way of protecting itself from damage again!
you should eat at least 1200 calories a day. Check with your doctor or a dietician for a recommended diet that addresses the type of disorder you are working with. Also see if you can get someone to take a picture of you when you are not expecting it and evaluate it as if it was a stranger. You need to see that you can gain a little weight if it means eating healthy. As you get more energy, start walking or doing a physical activity you enjoy.
