How can I calm my anxiety when I am around my boyfriend?
I had anxiety attacks daily about a year ago and now I am starting to get them again, but just when I am around him or think about him. We just started to date four days ago. Will I ever get over my anxiety? Until I do, what can I do to calm myself down?
I don’t understand my anxiety because I have been friends with him for about 5-6 months. I have liked him for 3-4 months.

Ok, so you may have a history of anxiety attacks, but have you ever considered the fact that you just might be in love.
Being in love can manifest itself in so many physical forms. Shortness of breath, hyperventilating, light headiness, lack of sleep are just a few.
Maybe if you take at look at that, and openly share your feelings with your boyfriend the symptoms will subside.

It takes time to know someone and your anxiety is a GOOD thing. Your body is telling you that you are not comfortable around him yet. Think of your body as a Pit-bull(guard dog) that will not relax around someone until it knows him. Why end up sleeping with a jerk?..What is the rush ? We need to listen to our bodies it is talking to us all the time. Do not be upset if you are nervous, Thank your body for that warning System (jerk alert)..It will go away when your body is ready, do not rush it take it slow.
Do you really want to fight against the crazy feeling of a jumping heart
and replace it with coolness and a controlling habit? Social anxiety is something different. Deep slow breathing is helpful. A stronger version is
drinking beet root juice ahead of the event. But I have no idea how to protect yourself against love and flying butterflies in the stomach.
