Cure Agoraphobia: The right way to cure social anxiety and agoraphobia

For people living with agoraphobia, the center of existence for them usually revolves around one person, and that is themselves. Dealing with and managing agoraphobia requires a degree of tolerance that most people are able to accomplish. But to actually cure agoraphobia will require a bit more than tolerance. One would have to drastically change the way that they think. They will undoubtedly come to the conclusion that the core of their thinking has been selfishly centered on themselves, but fortunately realizing this a a key to unlock their person-to-person potential.

The dirty little factor behind agoraphobia is anxiety. Many sufferers have a fear that they will have panic attacks in public. They will do anything possible to avoid public places, simply because they believe that there is a possibility that they could lose control.

How to cure agoraphobia:

These people can perpetuate agoraphobia by remaining inside and avoiding everyone. These people can cure agoraphobia by treating the anxiety at the core. They will soon realize that all this time avoiding people, that they’ve only been fueling the fire. Agoraphobia is more or less a learned behavior. The more you do it, the better you get at it. Agoraphobics have mastered the art of avoidance. Ask them to hang out after work and they’ll tell you that “their sister that they haven’t seen in years in coming into town tonight”, or “they promised their wife/husband they would do this or that for them”. One excuse after the other.

Therefore, the one true way to cure agoraphobia is to perfect getting out of the house. The sufferer must force themselves to go out. Maybe just a little at a time. They should start small, like the grocery store, then gradually work their way up to restaurants, bars, fairgrounds, etc.

With the right amount of persistence, it shouldn’t be too hard to cure agoraphobia, one simply has to put in the time and effort.
