anyone other eating disorder recoveries find themselves falling back to old habits?
I’ve had an eating disorder for two years now.
I’m slowly trying to eat carbohydrates but i do and feel guilty.
Any tips to prevent this?

i find the best thing to help me is eating healthy.
not to mention i learned alot about how calories are burned… knowing that breathing for an hour alone burns 60 calories… JUST breathing, that doesn’t include any sort of exercise AT ALL. Your body runs on about 2500 calories a day for the average person. My guess is you don’t get that amount as it is, and i base that guess of the fact that i just found out i don’t get that many either.
but the best thing for me is to eat 3 healthy meals and not to eat again until i actually get the sensation from my body that i am hungry again. i know that sounds really simple but the first thing i do every morning is make myself scrambled eggs in a flour tortilla with a little cheese. and then i go running and have a salad for lunch and a normal dinner. i used to be bulimic for about a year so it was probably easier for me to kick the habit compared to your eating disorder.
oh and also i find that when i exercise i feel alot less guilty about what im eating. give it a shot, it couldn’t hurt to try my ideas

just forget about whats in it. just eat. dont look at nutrition info for awhle. Ask your mom or dad to make you something delicious, with carbs and stuff. And then eat it wiht no questions asked.
This is natural, it’s best to try to recover w/ friends and family and a professional.
The more people helping the better, but people you trust and will respect you.
Just remember not to feel bad, because you can get really unhealthy!
Like I got really unhealthy when I was a pescatarian, I only ate fruits.
& I got a whole bunch of stuff wrong and I had to take pills and see 56785 doctors.
But now I’m a vegan and have a different variety of foods.
